"A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. "This is a beautiful property set in the Devon countryside, on the edge of Dartmoor. It has beautiful views over the valley and you can sit out in the garden while you admire them. The house is really old and well maintained, full of traditional wooden beams. The breakfast is really nice as well and you can pre-order hot food. I would recommend it to anyone."

"I didn’t want to write a negative review however as there was zero response to my messages, despite leaving it over 10 days I feel that I must. The pub itself is lovely, good food & comfortable clean rooms. However the lack of customer care lets it down. First as a previous customer mentioned is the welcome. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. "Cute little cabin in a quite pretty location. Basic, but worth the money if you want a value for money private accommodation. My only comments (not complaint as these things don’t bother me). It was cold when I got there, it would have been nice if the heating could have been put on before arrival. The floor is freezing - bring slippers.
