"Everything we needed. Excellent standard"

"A very quaint period public house. Our room was quite small but definitely adequate for our 2 night stay. Obviously to be expected with a quaint period public house. The bar was well stocked and plenty of room at the bar, surrounding tables and restaurant. The staff were very knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. Overall a very pleasurable stay and my wife is already planning to revisit with a friend. The 8 Bells is a perfect location to walk to the Bolney wine vineyard and neighbouring...

"Room not big enough for : suitcases What floor space there was was taken by a free standing AC unit the size of a small bar refrigerator which roared like a 747 picking clothes for the day involved houdini like manoeuvres!"

"Very quiet"

"Enjoyable stay"

"I stayed one knight for business. So close from the Brighton station. My room was large enough and cosy. I was very pleased that a hotel clerk was able to recognise me when I came back to pick up my luggage I had left after check out. I would say you can’t expect a lovely breakfast."

"The room was dirty and had infestation of bed bugs , we also had been charged twice as the deposit did not get from Expedia. This is the worst stay I have had at a hotel for many years I definitely would never stay or recommend this hotel ever."

"Lindsay was a really nice host, we could have what we wanted for breakfast, there was tea, coffee sugar and milk in the room. Our room was very spacious and bathroom was very large and well layed out, our room looked out on to the garden which was nice."

"Room spotless. Very convenient for airport. Early breakfast."

"Quiet room in the lodge, good tea facilities clean room if a little tired. Shower works well but could do with fixing and the shower door should be at the other end. Towel radiator doesn't seem to work, I hung my towel on the door and the cleaner put it back on the towel rail so it was still damp in the evening. Not enough lighting in the room. Food in the pub was good."

"A lovely little place to stay when you’re in the Brighton vicinity. You’re left alone, uninterrupted, and there’s generally help and support when you need it"

"Leider keine vergünstigten Parkplätze für Hotelbesucher vorhanden. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Hotel in einem Top Zustand"

"We had a very comfortable stay, albeit brief. The room was large and spacious and perfectly adequate for our requirements. If we’d have stayed longer we’d have liked to make the most of the bath. It looked luxurious. The breakfast buffet was very good and served us well"

"Very welcoming and well thought out accommodation. Would definitely stay again "

"The accommodation was beautiful and every detail was catered for. The host was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was ordered and they delivered it in the morning. The food was delicious The hot tub was brilliant. The location was brilliant as we wanted to walk in the surrounding area"

"Really liked staying in a 356 year old hotel/pub. It was probably my favorite place on our 1 month journey in the UK. It was close to town and had very friendly staff. It was unique and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely come back."
