Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa

Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely family stay in Keswick from 17th to 22nd August and really enjoyed our time here. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful mountains and close to the lakes, with many Lake District attractions within an easy drive. The hotel was particularly good for our family. We stayed in a family room for six, which gave us plenty of space. My daughter especially loved the heated swimming pool, and the leisure facilities were a real bonus. Everything was clean and well maintained, with a sauna, jacuzzi, showers and changing/locker areas for adults. There is also a spa where you can book treatments and massages. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. You can enjoy the buffet or arrange breakfast in your room by ordering in advance. We also enjoyed the restaurant during our stay. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces at both the front and back of the hotel, which was very convenient as we had our own car. From here, we could easily visit the lakes, mountains, wildlife parks and enjoy activities such as boat trips. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable family stay. If you’re looking for an all-in-one hotel in Keswick with good facilities, parking and a great location for exploring the Lake District, this is an excellent choice. We would happily stay again."

"A good and helpful welcome on arrival. A clean and comfortable large room with a nice view of the countryside. The surrounding well kept lawns led to the river and offered walks for all abilities with entertainment watching the fly fishermen. The restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and evening meals with a large choice. The meals were interesting and different with great choices and even a tasting menu. "Hotel in an ideal location for centre of town, close to railway station. Ideal to walk to parkrun in 30 mins. Dog friendly hotel. Some noise from city centre, but not too bad considering a Friday evening. Bathroom in need of an upgrade but was spotless and did not detract from pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Carpark monitored on cctv. I would recommend and definitely return"
