"Had the worst experience checking in"

"Room was clean and staff was friendly. The main issue is the location: it’s quite close to downtown Colorado Springs (10-mins walk), but the surroundings are very sus… lots of weird people walking around. I felt completely fine, but my 18-yo daughter didn’t feel very safe."

"This is our second year staying here. I will start by saying we had no issues our first year, hence why we came back this year. This year after paying through Expedia to reserve the room, I was presented with a bill that had taxes totaling 3x the rate of the room when I checked in. The desk clerk said that wasn’t correct but she couldn’t fix it and my card was charged again through Expedia. (So far that has not been the case and of course I will dispute it). The room was fine but as we were...

"air conditioning is a bit bad"

"I have stayed in the south Holiday Inn Express a time or two. That ocation is a much nicer building inside, breakfast, pool area rooms, parking lot. It also seemed much safer. The man at the desk went out of his way to help me. Some of the guest at this location were loud and using strong language. The overall atmosphere made me nervous."

"It was a great location"

"This was a super quick little get away for my birthday to the mountains from Texas!!! Perfect area and place to stay. Safe. Quiet. Staff were great! Great views too. Updated as well."

"The rooms were nice, beds were comfy and breakfast was really good and had lots of options. Staff was friendly."

"John at the front desk was very attentive. The women at the Bistro however was not. She never acknowledged us when we walked up to the counter. We noticed she was looking up a drink recipe so we gave her grace as we could tell she was new, but when she walked away to go talk to John at the front desk we decided the coffee we wanted wasn’t worth it. Other then that or stay was great."
