"A basic but clean room, ideal for the purpose of getting an early morning flight or arriving back into Birmingham after the last train. Bed sheets didn’t quite fit the bed but were clean. Hotel bar / food area was rammed, maybe an oversight on the hotel designers part, more than adequate for most hotels but reflective of the lack of other amenities. "Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

"We had a lovely one night stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly throughout. The rooftop bar was lovely for both a few drinks before we went out and for the breakfast in the morning. We didn't use the gym or spa which we would have liked to, but didn't have time, so can't comment on them. The room was a lovely size and very clean. Would happily use again."

"We arrived around 4:30, the carpark was busy and the restaurant really busy - wasn’t an issue for us as we were going out. The reception is away from the hustle and bustle of the bar/ restaurant which was good. The room was big enough, but the beds are really small. My husband had to go and ask for another room (on his own) as the double was bearly wide enough for both of us, let alone long enough. … so if you are over 5’8 you will struggle. "Friendly welcome, clean tidy room, no smells, two small spiders. Comfy bed, nice hot shower. Breakfast was excellent, good choice."
