The front desk staff were very welcoming when we arrived, housekeeping staff was very attentive to our needs(towels,toilet paper)also. Breakfast buffet was good, I like the sausage, but prefer bacon:) I would stay at this hotel again.

My room had inadequate heat, no desk chair and the phone line was cut Thankfully Jennifer was able to switch me to a nearby room At breakfast when I informed the front desk that the coffee was empty they looked at each other and said “who’s on breakfast” and did nothing else since it was time for them to leave I found the breakfast person who had a full container waiting Apparently she had not checked it since breakfast opened an hour ago Other than the aforementioned Jennifer I found the staff untrained unprofessional and immature I will not stay here again

Very good value at a very nice hotel.
This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel. Great staff, clean, well maintained, very good breakfast and convenient to the west side of Lansing and highways.

Comfy, friendly and clean
Hotel was very clean and quiet. Only drawback was the pool was closed for maintenance.

Check in was easy and person was nice. We had a hot tub room and the hot tub didn’t work and they moved us to a new room. Used the hot tub in the room and the hot tub was very weak and really not worth the hassle of moving rooms. A discount would have been better. But the girl at the desk was nice.

Disappointing breakfast
The room and front desk staff were great. The breakfast, however, was disappointing. Normally Holiday Inn Express has great breakfasts but this one was lacking. No juices were available other than apple. The pancake machine was never loaded. The eggs were either incredibly dry or very wet, no in between. No individual syrup so any time someone wanted syrup with their biscuits or sausage (because there were no pancakes) they had to use the ONE bottle. The trash’s were overflowing constantly. There was one fella working, so I’m sure he was overwhelmed but it was disheartening to see.

Hair on the shower and bathroom walls along with dirty carpets and burnt out lightbulbs in the bathroom and breakfast area along with a broken pancake maker left this hotel feeling like it could use more TLC. With a little more effort this place could be much better.

Staff did not answer front desk calls. Bathroom was not clean under the sink area. Breakfast was supposed to end at 9:30am, but staff was taking the food back at 9:15 and we along with other families had to ask to have additional food brought back out.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. There was candy and cookies in the lobby which was a nice touch, but my room wasn't stocked with sheets for the pull out, and we had no ice bags. The pool area wasn't stocked with towels but the pool itself was warm and we loved the small outdoor lounge area.
