"The welcome was very appropriate and kind. The rooms were impeccable, well-appointed, thoughtful amenities, great bathroom, lighting and sun protection was perfect, and more. Breakfast was healthy and balanced. I was very happy with my stay, and all my benchmarks were satisfied. The people always make a stay better or worse, and here I say thanks for the hospitality."

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

"Had a really nice stay. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel and grounds were excellent. The Italian garden was looking a bit 'tired' though, but still a nice area. Swimming pool was excellent but the showers in the changing rooms need attention. Our rooms were allocated in the 'Garden Rooms' block which was fine. Nice and spacious. There are plenty of inside areas to sit and relax. Especially the library. The choice of food at breakfast was good but it could...

"We had a wet room as en suite, and like most wet rooms, it smelt damp. The breakfast was self service and poorly stocked. We had to get an off duty member of staff to help after waiting 15 minutes on a tight schedule for someone to arrive to provide crockery and cutlery. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. For the cost to the room for the night, I did not feel our experience was good value for money."
