"Fantastic location & price! For boaters it's gold, but even for me, it's still a great, old school motel. Real key (no card!) that you drop in a bowl at the office to check out. Little fridge & microwave, no in room coffee maker. But there's a coffee machine free to use every morning in the office. Very tiny bath & shower, but usable. Be aware though, NO ice maker for guests. Likely because they get so many boaters & fisherman that it would be abused. But, it sucks when you're just a normal guest. Small sacrifice though ! Love this place!!"

"Besides being very clean and well maintained, the property had amenities like sunscreen and bug spray in a tray by the pool, a chair and a table outside the door I presume for smoking, a larger than normal refrigerator, and also a great breakfast with boiled eggs, milk, fruit oatmeal and other stuff beyond a normal continental breakfast . Very friendly staff too."

"We got a really spacious king suite for a Super 8! It was quiet, comfortable , and clean. The manager helped carry our bags since there’s no elevator. Would have stayed a second night if we hadn’t already been booked in another hotel."

"We loved out stay at Betsie Riverside Resort! The cabin was so clean! Not just clean for a cabin with a wooden stairway down to river right outside the door, but clean for a nice hotel. The unit was outfitted very efficiently with things like extra blankets, kitchen items etc. The love seat recliner was not new, but it was amazing! The leather so soft and comfy. It was not buggy, so we did not use the screened- in porch of Cabin 6. Very helpful & attentive owners who want your stay to be wonderful. After a cold July night, Chris happily came down and turned on the pilot light, so that we had a bit of heat. That was not in the budget. They struck me as an easy going couple too, considering how much of themselves that they put into making the place so nice and all the details they have addressed. Chris and Misti really know what they are doing. Grocery store nearby down the 2 lane road. Traverse City is great. But driving to see sunset, get pizza, cherry pie and for getting to kayak, bike routes or the the Dunes, I prefer uncrowded, rural Benzonia for base camp. Wish we could have stayed longer and would have if they were not sold out. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
