They provide variety in services. We had an amazing karaoke night. We enjoyed the sky lounge view. They have a beautiful valley view room. We were lucky to get to play our own music playlist. Amazing, polite and helpful staff.
Lift, wifi and tv was not working.
The room was given 3 floors down but lift was not working.
The owner /manager was very rude.I booked an ac room but i was given non ac room.
Decided to stay another 2 weeks. Best hotel for me because of location and access for my needs. Great accommodating staff who treat me with respect and as a guest in their home
So many bed bugs, flooded bathroom, no complement water (to be charged), wrong information on access (actually 1.2km from the centre, but not 0.5km), insufficient manner of the reception desk, unclear information on the booking sites, etc.

An ok stay
It was an ok stay, neither good nor bad. Hotel was locate at a good height and offered good scenic beauty but reaching there was a hassle from the Mall Road. Overall I would rate the hotel 5/10
Our stay was amazing as was the location. Sanjeev our host made every effort to look after us and went out his way to accomodate us. We felt special and spoilt meeting lots of his friends as he showed us around several sites you would never encounter as a tourist on your own.
Booked this hotel for 2 nights. As it was peak season, we had little options for hotels at McCleod Ganj. Despite booking through Expedia, the management sent a private email asking for my credit card details. Check in was indifferent. The hotel is a 20 minute walk through an unlit dusty, corrugated road. The floors of the hotel were built on an incline. No elevators. The rooms were not made up, there was no bottled water replaced and towels were not changed. At checkout, we had to wake the staff up. After confirming that I was paying through Expedia, I received a call on the way to Amritsar asking to pay for my stay, which I managed to do by sending the amount with our cab driver. Never again!
A bon entendeur...
I paid for 3 nights, when I got there I immediately started to search for another hotel. I found the Surya hotel at the same price much much better (at McLeod) - by the way excellent hotel)
The paradise is not hotel, it is in the middle of no where, noisy renovations turned the neighborhood into industriel zone.
Lousy facilities.
This is a perfect choice if you're planning to visit Dharamkot, since Gandhi's Paradise is located in a peaceful area on the way to this place. It's about 15-20 minutes walking from McLeod Ganj's main square and market, and I would say about 25-30 minutes from Dalai Lama's palace, but during the night or in the evenings it is much more convenient to take a taxi from McLeod Ganj (fixed rate - 100 Rs). The room is very clean and light with a stunning view of Himalayan mountains from the window. The wi-fi signal works perfectly - but only outside. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who seeks a perfect and silent place to see both Dharamkot's mountain peaks and McLeod Ganj.
We had booked 7 rooms for 1 night under room only plan. We had been to Chandigarh & Manali before reaching Dharamsala. Thereafter we were to head towards Dalhousie.
The rooms of this hotel were the smallest compared to the other places that we stayed.
Service was slow. Even drinking water was not provided in the rooms. Food was ok. The restaurant was not big enough to accommodate our entire group & we had to wait till the previous group was through with their supper.
Service was far from desirable. Tea maker was there in the rooms but without the cups & spoon. Staff was very much rationing the tea / milk sachets & towels.
While the view of the valley is the best from this hotel, reaching the place is like going on a never ending journey.
If you are service oriented (especially in hospitality sector) then money will follow as a byproduct & word of mouth publicity will be good & effective.

Small and Nice to stay
The hotel was nice , the view from the balcony was really awesome the staff was really helpful. A couple of things were a bit of a concern , the room locks and latches were not the best quality and my room could even open by the neighbors keys. Rest everything was very pleasant ..
Our experience at this hotel was quite mixed. The morning view from the terrace is second to none. The location is secluded but easily accessible with a 10min walk up and down the mountain through the forrest to Baksou, and a 10min drive down to Cloud McGanj. The hotel has a restaurant that sure knows what they're doing. No wifi in the rooms, and problems with the wifi in the reception. The hotel management are very nice but a bit "too much". The rooms are extremely cold, especially with the marble floor. There is absolutely no isolation between the room and the two wooden doors out to respective balcony. It's as if the building ia built for tropic conditions but hasn't taken into account the fact that it's located at the feet of the Himalayas. Heated water takes 30min to warm up, and only lasts for 5min.
No where close to McLeodganj. A long uphill walk back to the hotel on a dark, dangerous road. Very cold with no heat in the restaurant or exterior hallway. We paid a premium price for a room way down on the bottom level next to a construction site with access by an extremely steep stairway with no railing (5 flights to our room). When we asked to move to a room that required less climbing of stairs, (we are 60 and 62 years old) Mr. Ghandi requested more money. One of us got food poisoning and threw up all night after eating veg biriani from the hotel kitchen. A self described luxury hotel, this place provided no house keeping, clean towels, or clothes line for a weeks stay. The small electric heater barely kept us warm. When we wanted to check out Mr Ghandi insisted that we pay cash, luckily we checked our email and saw that Hotels.com had already charged us!!!! There are many nicer places to stay in McLoedganj that costs much less and are located within the town.
The stay at the hotel was very much satisfying. The way hotel is built is very unique as it descends from top to bottom while reception being at the top floor. The view out of balcony of the mystic bhagsunath was an added cherry on cake. We all as a family just loved it.
