An architectural gem

Bethune lofts, clean, quiet and a step back in time. The apartment was fully stocked with basic essentials (could've packed less lol) felt safe and secure and our neighbors were so nice.

Had a great time in Detroit apartment is as advertised clean and the area is pretty safe with a grocery store less than 5 minutes away, shower isn't that big so if you are don't book it respectfully just trying to help.

My family of four chose to stay here for our first time in Detroit and we were very pleased with our stay. The instructions for check in and check out process were very easy and electronic communication was always available and response time was quick.The building and area was quiet.The apartment itself was very clean, modern and updated. It was furnished with everything needed for our stay including dishes, toiletries, extra mattress bed, pack and play, high chair, iron, hair dryer, extra linens,cleaning supplies, air conditioner with remote, t.v. with roku, clothes washer, dishwasher, coffee pot, blender, etc. It exceeded our expectations.

Great apartment to stay in! It gave my friends and I some extra space and rooms compared to getting a hotel. Was also less expensive than the hotel for the weekend we were staying. Theres an option to purchase parking, we chose to do street parking and had no issues with finding a spot. The 24/7 conceirge was quick and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable, all the amenities. Even ice in the ice treys! Great communication. Clear check-in & out direction. Solid wifi! A couple oddities: There is nowhere to hang shower towel or washcloth. literally. Nowhere to put shower soap / bottles but the shower floor. Nowhere to put suitcase / bag but the floor. Reports of us being "noisy" when we weren't even there had me concerned about security deposit. Large security deposit, on top of rental, drawn on arrival date, return takes a few days. I live in a large city & am use to noisey condo life / cars / trucks... happily there are supplied fans that act as perfect white noise.

Bethune Lofts: The Perfect Midtown Detroit Stay –

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bethune Lofts, and I cannot recommend this property enough. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered to create a comfortable and welcoming stay. The property was impeccably well-kept, offering everything I needed for a relaxing and convenient visit. The location is absolutely perfect—situated in the heart of Detroit’s Midtown area, it’s just minutes away from fantastic restaurants, the downtown area, and Wayne State University, making it ideal for anyone visiting the college or exploring the city. What truly set this stay apart was the incredible responsiveness of the host. Any question or request I had was met with prompt and accommodating support, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and outstanding service, and Bethune Lofts delivered on all fronts. I am already planning future stays at this property whenever I visit Detroit. Honestly, I can’t wait to return! The only problem? I selfishly don’t want to tell too many people about this gem because I’m afraid it’ll be booked when I need it! But seriously, this is hands down one of the best places to stay in Midtown Detroit. Don’t hesitate—just book it. You won’t regret it!

This is newly renovated, and it was clean. Close to the hospital which was why I booked it. Quiet during the night and it was easy to check in with clear communication. I will probably stay here again!

The unit was fine. Please note that the elevator is mechanic, that was a bit of a shock. When arriving the front gate has a latch on the inside that you can reach in and unlock. The front door to the building does not have a secure lock on it so essentially stays open. The second door to enter the building does have a keypad but the door was frequently opened, as when we first arrived and no need for the code. The lobby is pleasant and well decorated. When we arrived in our unit it was freezing as the heat had been off for at least 12 hours . There are no instructions about the heating unit but we did eventually figure them out. Every room has a heating unit, The one in the living room stopped working on Friday evening/Saturday morning and was not fixed. I reached out to the number that had been communicating with me (which assume is AI because many messages didn't quite answer my questions or where just slightly off). When I asked to be updated on the status of the heat--the message read "I reached out to maintenance and there was no response by EOD". The unit did have a small space heater in there that helped. There was a bottle cap in the kitchen sink hen we arrived. The bathroom was small and so was the shower and had water stains in the corner, but overall functioned fine. The upstairs neighbors are loud/ or the walls are thin, if you are a light sleeper I would not rent this unit. There is a hefty deposit you have to pay after you book but before you arrive.
