"I ended up at Camp Deforest serendipitously, but it was one of the highlights of my trip! This beautifully renovated motel from the 1950s has a summer camp theme that's the perfect blend of nostalgia and whimsy. So much thought was put into the design; anywhere your eye lands there will be something cool to look at. The rooms were super comfortable, adorably decorated, and absolutely spotless. "The main problem during our stay was the noise. The walls are extremely thin — we could hear everything, even the people in the next room using their microwave. We were placed between two rooms that seemed to be traveling together, and they partied and slammed their doors throughout the night. By 3 AM, we had to ask them to quiet down. "Our host made check in simple and easy especially since we were unsure of arrival time. Lovely place, great breakfast and easy access of route 1 and nearby dining and activities, Belfast farmers markets and local restaurants were less than 15 minutes away. Would definitely stay again!"

The host made our stay so pleasant, truly one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. The location is fantastic, just a short drive to several charming towns that are absolutely worth visiting. I even made the drive to Acadia, just note that it’s a little over an hour away, which my husband and I didn’t mind at all. Thank you so much for everything!"

"The cottage was super ‘comphy’ and perfect for the two of us and had everything that we needed! The owner was fantastic and told us about all the things that we should do while there! Our pup was very welcomed and I knew he was safe if we needed to leave him for dinner. It wasn’t far from Camden/ Rockland/Rockport, which is where we spent a lot of time when not at the cottage. We will definitely suggest it to others and be staying with them again!!"
