"The property had a beautiful water view and beach access. The room was okay, very basic and out dated. The restaurant was nothing spectacular but the pub had a friendly atmosphere. The nightly rate was too high, the most we paid out of all our stays this week and the least enjoyable."

Everything worked except for the weather which no one can control. When I come back to Cape Breton, I will be booking Blue Bayou again and well in advance since it will soon be a must for thousands of Cabot Trail visitors throughout the season."

"Out over $400 on a management decision! We were travelling to Baddeck when a powerful storm hit the Maritimes on September 5th. The provincial government declared a local state of emergency in Victoria County (and a couple others) in which Baddeck is situated and people were advised to stay off the roads unless travel was for health, safety, or emergency purposes.
