"At first, when we arrived late at 2.00 AM. The first room we've got has no heater. There's no LED light or sign of working, so the room was freaking cold. We went back to the reception again to change the room. And then everything seemed OK with the warming heater.
The room is quite old and a lot if dirts, not well cleaned. So this must be improved.
The breakfast is great, variety of choices with good qualities.

"This place is on the pricey side, but is by far the nicest hotel in Longyearbyen. The staff, the room, the food, and the hotel itself are all amazing. The included breakfast is excellent. The hotel itself is located on one of the highest locations in town, so there is a bit of an uphill climb back to the hotel after a day of exploring, but not an issue. Special thanks to Tina and Maiju at reception, and Daniel in the dining room for providing above and beyond amazing service."

"I had a wonderful and excellent stay here. A simple and rustic accommodation, an old minors hut, basic, but very comfortable, clean and warm.
Excellent and polite staff, always with smile and happy to help.
I will stay here again when I return."

"Very cozy, restaurant is top notch with tropical plants and interesting bone collections and truly fantastic view, massive breakfast buffet, finest cocktails (shout out to the bartender who is sporting the finest beard in all of Svalbard), and overall excellent service from all the staff. Will definitely be back."

"Location of hotel The Vault is perfect. Breakfast is good, but very much the same every day. The staff gives good service! I have been a guest many times, and I will come back."
