"Great and memorable stay. The food was excellent, especially the dinner and I would rate this place 10/10. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us, showing great flexibility throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptional, truly beyond words. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many places and this is one of the best places we have stayed."

"Thoughtful, friendly receptionists, cheerful serving staff, room had a beautiful view and was clean. No complaints other than old cobwebs in the swimming pool windows and pool was crowded and noisy due to kids swimming lessons, which cut the useable area of pool to half"

"The hotel smelled of humidity. The TV in the room didn't work. I went to change the remote control 4 times. Finally, I asked them to test it in the room to see if it worked. They put the remote control down and left. I went upstairs and the TV still didn't work. Since I can't sleep without a TV, it was important to me. The hotel is definitely not worth the price they are asking. And they are especially asking for extra parking from the customers who have already stayed"

"The check in staff were friendly and professional. Our room was large but needed updating. The mattress needed replacing and the sofa was very stained. The toilet didn’t flush very well and the shower pressure was weak. The curious kitchen staff were very efficient and friendly especially our waiter Cris from Italy. "Set in beautiful grounds, good hearty breakfast clean bedding and towels. Hotel is a lovely old place and would benefit from a slight redecorate. Carpets need to be cleaned at the edges if this was done then 5 star from me. I will stay again next time I am in the area. Good night's sleep on very comfy beds"

"Everything about this charming countryside retreat was what we hoped for and more. The staff was a welcoming and alsways there to help. The food was delicious and better than we expected. The only issue (not their fault) they put me on the top floor and I struggle with stairs a lot as I’m disabled.. so, I booked a small single room but they have a huge room with a double and two singles great bathroom windows that open for air and the bed was great and the hot chocolate n biscuits. "Location is superb, 100 ft to Chippenham bus station, and leads than 10 minutes bistro from the train station. Room is spacious, so is the bathroom, big and renovated. Courtyard is nice. There is a leisure pool at site too. Huge parking lot at back. The buffet breakfast offered was full English style and truly great. Staffs were super friendly.
