"It could do with more cleaning. The hallways were clean and smelled fresh but the room carpet needed deep cleaning with dust bunnies along the corner skating . The carpet looked discoloured and the floors creaked. The pillows were so flimsy and my duvet had a rip on the underside. There was so much hair all over the room and the beds were not comfortable at all. The bathroom tap was so difficult to open as if it hasnt been used in years. "We found the booking process very confusing thinking dogs stay for free but when we arrived were told no it's £30 which represented nearly half the room rate. This is too much for a dog who doesn't moult and you wouldn't know had been there.
The website through Expedia when we went back and looked said dog staff do a fee which is misleading as I read as dogs stay for free. Needs to me make clearer or use a differed way of saying you pay for dogs."

"The history and outside appearance of the inn was impressive, unfortunatley the rooms definately did not have the wow factor for me. The Oundle suite bathroom was very tired in terms of furniture and building. The shower looked filthy and I didnt want to use it. It wouldnt take much to improve by cleaning the grout and re plastering. We paid £612 for a 3 night stay but the standard of the rooms do not reflect this price.
