"It could do with more cleaning. The hallways were clean and smelled fresh but the room carpet needed deep cleaning with dust bunnies along the corner skating . The carpet looked discoloured and the floors creaked. The pillows were so flimsy and my duvet had a rip on the underside. There was so much hair all over the room and the beds were not comfortable at all. The bathroom tap was so difficult to open as if it hasnt been used in years. The staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was excellent with hot food and a good selection available.

"Mattresses on beds poor in room 225 had to change rooms around 01:00 Sunday morning as noisy room next door to our original room 131 so on the whole not a great experience for ourselves unfortunately."

"Stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. Enjoyable stay. Food was ok. Sadly the spa was practically unusable due to large number of guests/day-visitors using it."

"The Talbot Hotel is a very quaint hotel. It’s location in Oundle is ideal and central. The courtyard is a great place to soak up the sun with a cold beverage. Dorotha and Aaron were a pleasure to deal with, as were all staff. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this location."
