"This is basically an upscale motel. Room was very small. Staff was very rude with exception of the young man who picked us up to take our bags to the parking lot. Our first impression was from the lady with the beak screeching at us to move our car when we were trying to unload."

"Beautiful setting. We had a hotel room overlooking the river. We thought we read on Expedia that we would have a microwave and fridge. We had neither. We heated water in the coffee maker to make oatmeal and ramen noodles."

"Holland America is really spread out but there is constant shuttle services for guests’ convenience. Two great onsite dine-in restaurants. Had meals at both and very nice. Lot of cruise guests who constantly have to navigate. Had a great room."

"We loved staying at the Talkeetna Lodge. The views of the mountains (including Denali) were spectacular!! The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly as were the servers in the restaurant. The only downside was there was one bartender (tattoos on face) who wasn't very friendly and seemed to have an attitude. Other than that, this was one of the best places we stayed in Alaska!! Thank you!"

"The cabin was very nice and beds were comfortable . The bed Linens were very cozy. So much privacy. Very peaceful and quiet. Also the cabin was very clean. It had everything we need. I totally recommend staying here👍"

"The room was basic and functional . The real problem we faced was there was zero connectivity from the room Neither cellular , nor WiFi . Check-in was not any problem but would help if the person at the reception is a bit more warm and receptive towards the guests . "

"Right at the foot of the entrance to the national park! Beautiful location and duplex cabin! We had a private bathroom with shower. Very comfortable beds. Delicious food on the property- such a nice place to stay! Would definitely recommend."

"The check in process was very clear. We appreciated the post it notes left out for us to label our kitchen items. We only stayed one night but did interact with other guests while we were there which led to a helpful tip on a fun activity! It is close enough to walk to downtown Talkeetna if you're willing to take a shortcut through the woods. Unless you're wearing mosquito netting be prepared to be swarmed on that part of the path. "We were put in a cabin with a king size bed and enjoyed being on the river in a more private section. Our room was clean with fresh towels and soaps. The common areas were very nice, spacious and we enjoyed utilizing these for down time, especially the fire pits and live music. There are scenic trails that are fairly easy hikes within walking distance from the property. "The room was clean. Had to share 2 bathrooms with 7 other rooms. But bathrooms were clean too. A bedside table and bed with nothing else in room. The food was ridiculously expensive served on paper plates with plastic forks. Food was terrible tasting. Overcooked meat, undercooked eggs. Bad experience."

"We stay at a different hotel, The Denali Bluffs Hotel. Check-in was very long and there was only one person checking everyone in. The food was pricey and was served cold. The rooms were clean and nice. The views were great from the patio."
