"The hotel is perfect if you are staying in Tana. Very close to the airport. The food is some of the best I have ever had and is very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Madagascan chocolate pudding !"

"Absolutely horrible. Will never ever stay here again.
We checked in to a plunge pool villa. The pool was dirty and gross, beach towels laid out hasn't been washed in forever. Inside there is no ceiling fans only the stand alone portable fans. It was so hot with no air conditioning.
The bed sheets were very dirty with dead bugs on them as well as dead bugs around the entire villa. Not to mention as well live bugs, including many mosquitoes. The entire place hasn't been cleaned. Twice, I asked...

"This is not a nice hotel! The pictures are misleading, it looks like they are probably several years old. The hotel is much less inviting now. I guess it would be fine for travelers on a limited budget who don't mind very basic accommodations. The grounds were untidy with visible piles of garbage, the rooms were spartan and uninviting - the place looked more like a barracks than a hotel. I took one look at the place and my room, and left to find another hotel, even though I had already pre-paid....

"Das Carlton liegt mitten in Tana und ist für den Start einer Mada-Reise super gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr gut ausgebildet und enorm hilfsbereit. Der Pool müsste wieder mal renoviert werden. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist etwas mager, und das Personal im Saal agiert mehr als Aufpasser denn als Gastgeber. Alles in allem, wir würden wiederkommen. Auf jeden Fall ein Zimmer in einer oberen Etage zum See hin buchen."

"The ocean was right in front of me. Absolutely Wonderful!I have had the most wonderful week on this little island. Beautifully exotic, Sea is fabulous. I spent my days in the sea, the snorkelling is great and the hotel takes us every morning ( No charge) if you want to see other snorkelling area around the island...
I walked round the island, found more beautiful little and quiet beaches. Life over there is so peaceful.
My little bungalow on the beach was perfect, lovely decking area, air...

"Bien sûr ! Alors, en résumé, l’hôtel offre un cadre agréable, avec un personnel aux petits soins. La chambre était confortable, même si un peu petite, et la salle de bain, elle, était spacieuse. Cependant, la douche posait un vrai problème de sécurité avec des variations de température. Le service, lui, était impeccable, et la terrasse extérieure ainsi que l’apéritif étaient vraiment un plus. Le petit-déjeuner, lui, était correct mais un peu léger.
