"I was extremely disappointed with my stay at KingsGate Autolodge Paihia. Although our visit was very short, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the poor service we received at check-in. We arrived late in the evening, fully expecting that most places nearby would already be closed. "Firstly we were upgraded which was appreciated , but unfortunately the heat pump didn’t work and it was freezing , eventually a heater was found ,but then the shower drain was blocked and the bathroom flooded into the bedroom , however staff were super quick to come and unblock the drain and mop up the mess."

"Great location if working in the Far North. Beachside rooms are spacious and and tidy. Wifi and mobile reception is minimal which isn't a bad thing. On site restaurant is great for dinner and breakfast. The staff here are great and will go out of their way to help. One issue do a better corporate rate and you will be full."

"Amazing views from our large rooms, hosts were very friendly and helpful, nothing was a bother. The kitchen was well stocked with quality appliances. The only thing to watch out for is the exit from the car park is rather tight so be careful when exiting the car park so not to damage your car. We would definitely recommend this property."
