"Nice small hotel with black sand beach with gorgeous sunset and colors. The rooms are nice and large surrounding a mini jungle with nice trees and flowers.
There are 2 restaurants-bars on the property that are totally overpriced (5-star hotel prices for a 3-star plus hotel). The staff is nice and the amenities are good. The pool is small and not really clean. "

"Loved this rustic beautiful spot and all the macaws and hearing the howler monkeys at night. Highly recommend, but don't book through Expedia. Our info was hacked and we received repeated scam attempts to get our credit card numbers. "

"Staff were super friendly and kind. Pool is big and awesome. Location is right in the heart of Guiones so not quiet but very convenient. Mati at the juice/coffee bar is super cool, a great surf instructor, and has great insight into the area. Expectations exceeded."

"This was our second year coming to the Rip Jack villas and it was an excellent stay. Hotel staff was very kind and courteous. Rooms were clean and kept clean daily. The food in the hotel was delicious; we’re still debating who among us had the best meals. This year we traveled with a larger group and everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back next year!"

"I LOVED staying here and if I come back to Costa Rica, this would be where I would want to stay.
Johnny at the front desk was absolutely magic. Any problem that we had, he had a solution for. We needed some sea sick medication but our tour got back late and everything was closed. I messaged him at the front desk using WhatsApp around 11PM and he went out and found us some! Another night, it was a night tour and by the time we got back, all the restaurants were closed.
