Monteverde Lodge by Böëna

"Our stay at Monteverde Lodge far exceeded expectations! The staff was very communicative in advance of our arrival for check-in timing and assisting with booking activities so that we could maximize our short stay in Monteverde. The property is pristine and rooms are luxurious; we were able to upgrade to an upper level Mountain Gem where the view from our balcony looked atop the cloud forest canopy teeming with wildlife; at one point, a group of koatis and capuchin monkeys were playing together in the trees and jumping on the rooftop of adjacent building right next to our room for a long time. The beds/linens were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was huge with a walk-in closet for spreading out and there is excellent soundproofing between the rooms and the balcony doors so that you can rest quietly. The rooms also have very high ceilings for a cozy, cavernous feel. The guest atrium is a very beautifully decorated common space full of well-manicured plants and board games for downtime. The restaurant is very delicious too; the included breakfast was full of amazing choices with possibly the best French toast I have ever had.. and the lunch & dinner menus were amazing for the various diets in our group; truly fine-dining quality of ingredients and service/presentation. The lodge also allowed a late check-out without any issue when we had to rebook an activity that ran over by 1 hour, which was very accommodating. This place is truly excellent all-around."

"It was just myself and my daughter 16 and we really enjoyed our stay. The shuttle picked us up from the airport, the driver was waiting outside with my name on a pretty made sign. The staff was amazing and very attentive. I loved the welcome drink. Breakfast was great! The restaurant had good options to choose from. The property is small, private and safe but it is beautiful! The hotel is like being in the mountains, jungle atmosphere. Theres a spa and the 2 pools were beautiful and shaded. The rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. I loved the balcony it was very spacious with a nice kitchen area and the view of the pool and beautiful scenery all around. The environment at the hotel was very peaceful, relaxing and true tranquility!!! Everything was within 15 minutes or less meaning the beach, adventure parks, grocery stores, fruit markets, etc. Neofauna Costa Rica Mariposario is on the same road from the hotel about a 10 minute walk or you could use the free bikes provided by the hotel, there is also a little store on the road and there are waterfalls if going right from the hotel and going all the way down past the small bridge and store there is a path, small little hike. Wish we could have stayed longer but it is definitely worth returning!!!"

"Wow super appartement tout équipé Avec une belle piscine. Besoin d’un véhicule pour aller à la plage, au restaurant, au bar et activités du complexe ( Karaoke et music live) Petite épicerie à quelques pas à pied. Belle plage de sable blanc et apnée directement de la plage. Nous avons vu des aras rouges juste dans les arbres près de la plage. Une navette peu vous apporte à la plage voisine ou à un restaurant."

"Fantastic room with no noise from air conditioning but nice chilly space to rest in after time out in the hot humid weather. Pools were nice with comfortable seating. If I was going to complain about anything, the pricing in the restaurant was a bit steep - but you are right on the beach. About a 5-7 minute walk to the busy town area which is perfect to keep the space quiet while still being convenient."

"This hotel stay was once jd the best we have had in Costa Rica! Zero complaints or areas of improvement . We had a Mountain View with kitchen and it was worth every cent ! Can’t wait to go back!! Thank you for great memories ! Saw scarlet macaws from the balcony - truly magical !"

"The overall set up of the building was very cool. Loved how the rooms were set apart from the main area, in our case, through an outdoor walkway. And what a great common area inside and outside on the deck! The deck overlooked the countryside. The breakfast options provided were wonderful and we felt well taken care of. The decor of the building and rooms was truly unique, loved the white stucco, open beams and coloured glass bead designs! Very comfortable, clean and accommodating stay."
