Hotel Cádiz Bahía by Q Hotels
8/10 Good
"Excellent hotel overall, however the superior swim up rooms, which has an excellent view to the beach (but then so do all the rooms) suffered from two things: first, the pool that wraps around the front of all these rooms is close to freezing cold. Impossible to immerse in these and in fact we only saw two other people brave the pool temperature our whole stay. So paying for the superior swim up wasn't really worth it as too cold to use the pool. Most of these were covered in shade by 4pm due to the way these rooms face, slightly away from the beach and direction of sun travel. Second, a collection of sea gulls perch on the edge of the swim up pools from dusk to dawn drinking the pool water and defacing in it. This we saw washes up onto the side but in two days no one came around to clear this, so not only is the pool freezing it has visible seagull waste floating in and around it. Someone needs to come around this areas daily to ensure it is sanitary to use."

Hotel Bodega Tío Pepe
10/10 Excellent
"This is a lovely hotel in Jerez,in a marvelous location, adjacent to the cathedral and the palace.Very quiet, hardly any traffic and 5 mins walk to the main square/old town. Our room, superior, was a good sz with an outside space and views.Only criticism was the V small cheap fridge, and no mini bar,so no good for keeping some water cool. The breakfast they called Continental, was waitress service/no buffet. The menu was limited as we were there 4 nights. So we had mussili, yogurt and fruit each morning,no other cereals. The fruit could have been changed each day,to make a change.I was expecting some lovely melon or peaches ext. There were egg dishes, cheese and the cured Spanish ham( not our taste). The waitresses were excellent, but every thing was served to the table in different dishes so they were very busy, and for two days the room was full. You can sit outside for breakfast too,but it was a bit cool at 8.30am. The roof top terrace is very nice, just with more of a plunge pool, the bar up there was closed, but they came up and served drinks if needed. I think this hotel is quite newly renovated, from part of the Tio Pepe winery. It is a lovely peaceful, sophisticated haven, and would recommend it.I loved it. The staff are all very professional and helpful. Probably would not go back to Jerez as it is a smallish city, although you need to visit the Spanish Horse School, that was amazing and unforgettable."

Hotel Boutique Las Cortes de Cádiz
10/10 Excellent
"The receptionist was very friendly and helpful on check in. We chose the hotel due to its location and they accept dogs. The charge was a reasonable €16.50 for our dog and there was a dog bed, 2 bowls and a treat in our room. The bed was comfortable and there was a kettle and coffee machine in the room. This is a boutique hotel so no bar as such but it has a cafe on the ground floor with outdoor seating (it is in a pedestrian area) and you can buy drinks and take them up to the rooftop terrace. We stayed in the room at the top which also has some outdoor space. As others have mentioned the room and bathroom could do with being updated but we felt it offered good value for money. Parking Canajelas is 5 minutes away and was €25 overnight."

Parador De Cadiz
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely wonderful 2 night stay….staff amazing from reception to both restaurants. Great location and gorgeous sea views and adjacent to beautiful gardens with waterfall and topiary’s. At breakfast if you are a tea drinker place the order with a member of staff who has the trolley as there is no self serve tea making facilities. The food offerings were excellent for gluten free and had an omelette station too. "
