"Staff are amazing"

"On arrival, I was given a sheet of paper to fill in, but it was so badly printed that I could not read it! The room was spacious, with a walk in shower, kettle and tea and coffee. However, the wifi did not work for me, and the TV kept cutting out, but the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there was no water from the taps, so I could not use the lovely looking shower; I had to wash with water from the kettle, from the previous evening. I feel that the staff should have been warning guests...

"Given the price we paid, I expected more. It says parking, but that is hit and miss, with parking permits issued, but several cars in the car park without them and therefore difficulty finding a space. The room although quite well presented was very small, more of the size I would have expected for a single room, not double. It was hot weather I know, but even with a fan running all the time, the temperature was unbearable and the window had restricted opening. The hot water temperature needs...

"Nice beds, friendly staff, and decent breakfast. However, the visit was spoiled by the malfunctioning air conditioning in the middle of summer. There was instead a plastic fan avaialble which perhaps proves that the staff were aware of of issue. They did offer to see if they could place us in another room but that would mean re-packing again in the middle of the night, so we just had to put up with it. Really uncomfortable night with a 3 year old!"

"The room was lovely,clean and comfortable.The provision of a fan was much needed and made the night bearable in the heat. Breakfast was excellent,food freshly cooked and plentiful and the usual range of cereals, fruit and pastries. Lunch was delicious, again food was tasty but we were a party of 12,a pre- booked celebration , and some of us had almost finished our main course by the time other main courses had arrived and one person had to send their food back to be reheated. "Rooms are basic some hotel/travel web pages states a pool. NO pool usable. Been out of order months . Hotel a little edgy.... Some rooms need a good deep clean. Can't see threw room windows for dirt. A couple of us stayed a few nights only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel to share for 2!! Iron and trouser press don't work. Hot water is never Hot At moment only continental breakfast or pot noodles or crisps . Hotel is mainly used for councils homeless and domestic violence victims....

"It was very spacious. Beautifully maintained. Room was lovely. Bed very comfy. Iron and ironing board. The Breakfast was gorgeous both mornings. Very good value. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking fine. Interesting prom night when I arrived Friday. Very entertaining. Went next door to spa Friday night. Day pass for £15 pool and gym. Lovely."

"The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was perfect in every way. The walls are thick so no internal noise. The free breakfast was excellent. Oh and the dedicated parking space just topped it off. Highly recommend this pub as a place to stay. We stayed in room 2 with the queen bed. "Nice place above a nice bar. Had some food and it was fine and a few drinks. Nice atmosphere and well situated in the town. Room was fine, settee was a bit big for the room but you can see what they are trying to do. Young woman who showed us round was nice and so too the young woman at breakfast."
