"**Very Disappointing Experience — Would Never Stay Here Again** My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from beginning to end\. The staff was not helpful at all\. I called the front desk several times, and no one answered the phone\. We were staying on the 5th floor, and the elevator was already extremely slow and clearly needed maintenance\. "The hotel looked fairly new and outside and inside were extremely clean and modern. It is one of the new minimal types of hotels. There is plenty of parking that was very well lit. The desk clerk, Dede, was very pleasant and efficient. The lobby offers 24 hour coffee and tea. She told us about the Hometown Grill that is in walking distance and offers a discount for guests. We arrived on a Sat evening and the restaurant had a steak and seafood buffet for $18.99 (think Golden Corral type food)....

"The rooms were clean. There was a lack of electrical outlets near the bed for devices such as CPAP machines...The staff was nice. The "breakfast" left a lot to be desired. It was my first time trying a Spark property."

"Bathroom was immaculately clean. Safety suggestion: shower floor is so smooth that it was slippery, and there was no grab bar or anything for safety. Bed and most surfaces clean. Upholstered chair and ottoman appeared shabby and were peeling a bit, didn't look as clean or nice as rest of the room. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast choices included eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. "

"The biggest advantage of this hotel is that it's 5-10 min. walking distance from downtown and Mary Baldwin University and that it is less expensive than other nearby hotels.
