This place is clean, quiet, modern, and comfortable with the added bonus of being affordable. Whenever my wife and I visit the Des Moines area, we stay here. Lots of great restaurants nearby, theaters, shopping, and other entertainment.

My daughter, son-in-law and I stayed 2 nights. It was comfortable and a great area! The bathroom door did squeak like a haunted house door but other than that everything was great. The bistro has good food, but it is a little pricey. Over all it is a great place to stay!

Above and beyond

The stay was comfortable and as expected, and the service was excellent. Upon check out my car would not start and they were very helpful - even reissued my room key and welcomed me to wait in my room until assistance arrived to help me with my car.

The staff was very helpful and recommended a perfect place for me to take my daughter to eat. The room was comfortable. And they didn't mind me parking my motorcycle under the awning. Generally all Marriott's have good customer service but the staff went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated and welcome.

The property was close to family, shopping and restaurants. Easy drive to airport at 5 am . As it was the night of the time change I called the front desk and asked for a 4 am wake up call in the event my phone didn't change times properly. We did not receive the requested wake up call.

Outstanding in every way!

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we knew we had chosen the best hotel for us. The night staff were so friendly and amazing. The entrance was beautiful! The rooms did not disappoint. So clean and beautiful. The bed had me sleeping throughout the night. Would definitely recommend!!

Friendly staff

The stay was great. The room was very clean. The staff were top notch. Property could stand some refurb. Example, paint pealing off building, landscape was more weeds than anything, room was great except tube as the overflow drain was completely rusted causing tube base to be discolored. None of which affected our stay.

The lock on my door was wiggly. I had to work to make sure it would stay shut. The room was fine, clean, comfortable. I missed having to go to the lobby to get cream for my coffee in the morning. There wasn't even any in the lobby to take for the next morning. But the lady at the front desk was very nice when I checked in and out!

This was a newish and nice hotel in a very good neighborhood. Dear Management-- your rooms are nice enough, but someone needs to take a look at the repair and caulking work in room 226 bathroom. It looks amateurish; almost as if I told my 7 year old to caulk around the toilet and the tub. Also, the shower has been squirting water on the ceiling for a while now, and unless someone fixes that shower head leak, your bathroom ceiling is going to be ruined. It really detracts from an otherwise nice facility.

The Staff is fantastic and the property is in a good location. The hotel for the most part is in good condition our room was fine yet the bathroom was another story it showed signs of wear and past repairs. The sink would barely drain and was plugged up with a gross black crud that had been accumulating for a long time. Bathroom sink drains need to be cleaned periodically as hair, make-up and soap will collect on the drain opening and closing control becoming a disgusting unsanitary mess. We paid a good amount for lodging at this hotel and expected better maintenance of their rooms. There was severe weather in the area and spent time in safe area and didn’t notice the sink until late that evening. I informed the staff when checking out so the next guest wouldn’t experience what we did.
