excellent stay in a lovely farmhouse hotel, the furnishings were modern and new looking. The bedroom was lovely, very spacious and the bed super comfy.

We booked this hotel last minute. It was a beautiful hotel very clean, staff really pleasant and helpful. Our room was amazing, very large and contained everything you needed for comfort and touch of luxury. We will certainly go back.
Booked due to how close it is to East Midlands airport but was really happy with the choice once we arrived. Really close but not so you’d notice, very friendly staff, great size of room and good food in the restaurant!! Overall couldn’t have asked for more…
The hotel staff are very helpful and the room was lovely. Evening meal was good, although it would have been better to have more venison options ie. Burger? as the meat was promoted in other ways. Breakfast was disappointing, scrambled eggs dry and tasteless, on wholemeal bread when advertised as granary
Rooms and building are really nice, ive stayed here a few times, always good. I can only assume that their B&B business us not top priority, the drinks bar only offer bottled options and the bar menu was very basic this time, this was a shames the food was normally teally good.
Very handy as we were flying from East Midlands the next day. Planes do fly directly over but didn’t disturb our sleep. Great staff and nice cooked to order breakfast. Had dinner as well which was also pretty good. We were able to buy some of the local venison to take home with us which was a very nice surprise

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Property is unique and has obvious qualities - my room was older and very average - breakfast was inconsistent in quality (over cooked) and not offered/ Presented in the best way - ( eg toast on the same plate as cooked food, no side plates or sign of jam or marmalade...)
Hotel a very strange layout, having to drive around back and forth to room and restaurant.
Very limited menu, and the beer ran out, so all that was available was a 330ml bottle of lager at £4.50, with no discount cause they ran out of beer, I wasn’t the only one who asked, and so no one bought any bottles, at that extremely inflated price. Menu was very basic and most items not available, had the burger which was 5/10.
Rooms are lovely, just the bar restaurant staff and service was poor, had to go up to the bar to order food, as I had been waiting 15 minutes , after the lady didn’t come back, so just had one course as it was getting late, and didn’t want to waste all night in there
We needed a couple of days off from our usual routine. The place is wonderful and well maintained. Good sized room, very clean with helpful and smiley staff! What has let it down was the food served in the restaurant. This place would be an absolute gem with some home made proper food.
The hotel is close to Donington Park, which is somewhat isolated. The room was nice, and even though I didn't make use of the restaurant, it looked quite good as well.
Just a great place to stay, good food, friendly staff and a lovely setting....

Perfectly okay
The staff at the farmhouse were lovely, the bed was comfy. Quite cold in the rooms despite attempts to increase the heating and food was very average.
Would stay again, but certainly not in a rush to do so.
