The River's Edge Motel Lodge & Resort

"Very nice stay. It has a family feel in ownership, very kind. Room was clean, good amenities, nice extras like a group sitting area with a gas fire pit. Sits on a creek, need to get close to the bank for a view but it is literally about 20 feet from the social area. Close walk to Main St. and to restaurants on 7th, both within a 100 foot walk. Ok, me and the missus just discussed what was wrong (I hate all one sided reviews), so hear it goes. A couple of loungers or ADK chairs on the slope against the left building, close enough to view the creek. Pop machine was all out of every option. Place was not full (weekdays) and we were put in the one room with no mountain view (staircase blocked view), maybe upgrade us. All in all, we got engaged on the social patio area, it is a nice sitting area with amazing views so it felt like a great place to devote my love. Oh, and an hour after, close to sunset, a black bear crossed the creek practically in front of us in the social area. She popped up elsewhere to avoid us, but so cool. So to recap, we loved the place and gave 5 stars, Ouray is absolutely beautiful and this place is in the middle of it. WE WILL BE BACK!"

"Fantastic hot springs on property with great views. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Restaurant on property with good food. Walking distance to Box Canyon and Perimeter Trail. Our room was dated with AC and shower issues but heard they are in the process of renovations.... We would still go back."

"When we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile. The owner told us how to get around town and gave us a map. She also gave us a packet of s’mores to enjoy at the fire pit around back. The room was clean and enjoyable."

"Greeting when we checked in Monday night was great. So kind to our dog with us. Small pet fee (less than many other places). Convenient 10 min walk to Box Canyon Falls from hotel and close to many restaurants."

"The rooms are old but in decent shape and clean. Beds were very comfy. Pool area needed some help and the morning coffee was not good and the creamer was spoiled. Overall we had a nice time."
