Giving this place 2 stars: 1 for location, 1 for food. Otherwise, we had several issues.
Contacted the hotel 3 times through Hotels.com to arrange airport pick up, completely ignored. When I’ve email them directly, they finally responded.
Room wasn’t exceptional, but quite dusty, with some mosquitos around. There was air-con and sheets and towels clean. During the first night, our phone randomly phone twice, waking us. Other guests started singing and shouting on the hallway and kept their room’s door open. We had to ask them twice to lower their voice.
The next day when we came back in the evening, we had to phone twice for toilet paper.
Major issue at the end with payment. The receptionist wanted us either to pay in cash or to pay in our home currency. All other hotels we stayed at give us the option to pay in rupees via card, so we ended up paying at a very bad rate and the receptionist blankly refused to give us the option to pay with card in rupees.
Food: a few good options for breakfast, but on the basic side. Option to order freshly made omelettes and dosas.
We had the options to get one free meal a day – food was very good, especially chilly chicken and chilly panner. Servers also nice and attentive.
Location: very good, a walk away from Connaught Place, which has plenty of shops and eating places.
