"A very reasonably priced room where we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable it was. The bedding was like a Hilton. Just simple and clean. The bed was not too soft not too hard. And the pillows weren't bad either. It was a basic older hotel With a friendly owner and the simplicity of what a reasonably priced hotel should be. We would recommend especially if you are on a budget or just don't want to spend too much money on a night or a couple nights to stay! Would stay here again."

"THE LITTLE HOTEL THAT COULD! We travel quite often and I’m used to staying at “fancier” hotels, but I have to say I was impressed. Though not fancy, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and was a great base for my family during my son’s graduation. The rooms were spacious. The staff was pleasant, and we enjoyed the continuous fresh water and coffee station. The breakfast was solid. I would recommend this hotel as a solid choice in Brookings."

"Rooms clean but older furnishings and sufficient paint coats and color needed. The breakfast was not ready at 0630. Coffee had only a few cups available, the waffle mix at the bottom and hadn't been refilled. "

"Beds in our room were made, but the bathroom and floors were not cleaned when we arrived. Needed a very deep clean-the refrigerator and microwave were dirty. Had to request towels as we only had 1. The other family we were with had to do the same. The pool was like ice water and we ended up having to go to the community center with a heated pool. Even the kids couldn’t enjoy it because it was too cold. Breakfast was sparse and not desirable."

"The curtains that are darker need to be able to go across the window so the lights from outside do not come in. Hard to sleep with parking lot lights on. "
