Clean en suite bedrooms, cozy, and we had restful night. Electrical outlet not working so unable to use the electrical kettle to boil drinking water. Outlets are only for 2-prong cords. Be sure to bring your own adapter for 3-prong cords because the property does not have to lend. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is just alright. It will be great if they have American breakfast where bacon and sausage are options. It is walking distance to S&R, to the new NCCC, and to Philippine Women's College.

I found the Big House to be an incredible stay in the middle of a busy city . The courtyard and rooms are very quiet . They are clean and well maintained . The staff is incredible . They will take care of you in little ways . I bought some fruit in a local fruit market and they wete happy to cut it up and serve it . They were very kind .

Property was tired. WC not clean. 2nd room (booked thru hotel direct) was better than the 1st room. Though when booking i paid for the best room. Not the best value for money..

PROS: Location: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Food in its restaurant: 5/5 Care for the environment: 5/5 Safety: 5/5 It’s like staying in grandma’s house and eating grandma’s cooking. Staff are very nice, polite, friendly. The beautiful plants in the well-maintained yard are very relaxing and comforting. CONS: No elevator(s) but staff will assist you with your luggages. Walls are thin - you can hear the conversations next to your room (but negligible if you wear earbuds). ***HIGHLY-RECOMMENDED and will definitely return.

Hotel charged on checkout for prepaid room

I paid for my father to stay here ahead via card. Upon checkout he was charged for one night with only a yellow order slip copy as receipt (no official receipt given) and the hotel has refused the refund request. Be aware. It's a shame because the hotel itself is very nice. This one issue ruined it.

客室は綺麗です。シャワーは少し勢いが弱いですが、電気温水器で不便なく使えました。到着時刻が23:50過ぎになる旨、伝えておいた処、フロントでお待ち頂けました。深夜の夕食は近くのカフェで調達し、ビールはGSのコンビニで調達しました。この地域の店での酒提供は23:00までの為。出発日の飛行機が朝早かったのですが、朝食を定時より早めて、6:00に作って貰えました。　
緑豊かなお庭
朝食付きプランでは、この中からコーヒー付きで無料で選べます。別途、サラダも頼みました。

A jewel in Davao

My colleague and I are staying at the Big House because we have workshops and meetings around the area. We are thrilled to have found this 'home' away from home. Elizabeth and her team are kind, friendly and always looking to help with any questions or requests. There are restaurants in the area, and other sites (People's Park, Abreeza Mall) are a short taxi or Jeepney ride away. So pleased to have vegetarian options on the menu. Elizabeth, the owner/Chef, is delightful and has shared Durian liquor, blue cheese, and homemade flower juices with us. The first room was very comfortable (Elizabeth) but since we are staying for a longer time, we moved to Leticia because it is roomier. AC and hot water. Needless to say, a two-day stay has now been extended to the full week we are staying in Davao. Highly recommend.
