What made us laugh was the bed. You sat upon it, and it made a deep groan from the metal base. Hysterical! At the price point of the hotel, not surprising. The hotel is a great place to rest your head for an evening, and has a decent restaurant on premises. But the pool was not kept up as good as it could be, it needed cleaning. The room furniture had wear and tear, but was serviceable. Overall, acceptable for an overnight stay.

The staff are friendly and helpful unfortunately the rooms have a large amount of mold that can be smelled as soon as the door opens. This was unhealthy and unlivable. I’ve stayed in some bad hotels before but never have I had to sleep with a washcloth over my nose. I tried to tough it out one night and woke up at 130am to book a new place. I ate the cost of my hotel and had to go up the street to another hotel. I can’t believe that this place is able to be a choice hotel or a quality inn or even open without some sort of health violation. The people were very nice but I’m sorry this is so unhealthy to stay in.

Good value for the money

For the money I paid, this was a good hotel. The staff was great. The room had a nice comfy chair. The TV didn't have ABC, NBC or CBS and that was sad. My biggest issue wasn't a fault of the hotel, but I had people talking right outside my door for a couple of hours. I didn't have the breakfast so no idea about that. Bed was comfy but pillows were small. I would have liked vinyl flooring instead of carpet.

If you travel with pets this is a great lodging option in the South Boston area. And for those of you not traveling with pets, this is still a good option. The facility and rooms do not have the typical 'pet' smell or appearance. They do a very good job of keeping the rooms clean and fresh.

The room we stayed in needs a GOOD deep cleaning, but the lobby & breakfast area were nice & clean. The lady that checked us in was a little short, she didn't tell us about breakfast or checkout time, and I had to ask about how to access the room. The two ladies in the morning both at the desk & taking care of breakfast were very pleasant. We stayed there due to the closeness to the racetrack.

The folks that manager the hotel are friendly, I have stayed there over the last 4 years for the IMSA race at Virginia International Raceway. It has continued to go down hill, they do their best but for almost $500.00 for 2 nights and 30 miles away it is over priced.

First of all, the staff was very kind and understanding of my un easiness of staying there. I changed my 3 day stay to one night. I did spray the room with lysol and wiped down all areas with chlorox wipes. Just was enough for me to stay.

Excellent at the Quality Inn

My name is Randall Thompson. I have been staying at the Quality Inn in South Boston Virginia for approximately four weeks now and will continue staying with him with them until my business project is complete. The staff and management at the Quality Inn in South Boston Virginia are excellent! The rooms are well taken care of and clean,You can have Hot coffee anytime you want it, In the lobby area And enjoy an and enjoy a hot breakfast with lots of choices every morning. The staff and management are all very friendly making me feel like family! I would definitely recommend the Quality Inn In South Boston to Virginia to all my family and friends!😊
