"So much better than I expected. The bar area, restaurant and huddle areas were all so beautifully done and the food and drink lprices were very reasonable. Plenty of electric car charging available. "This hotel is a typical English pub hotel best suited to those with a car. We had requested a ground floor room but were allocated an upstairs room on arrival. However, this was changed by the receptionist and the room we got was fine. It was a good size and looked out on the bar courtyard, fortunately quiet as it was cold and wet outside. The bathroom was fine and bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were good."

"I booked this property cautiously, because it seemed too good to be true...£70 for the suite on the Friday of bank holiday weekend, including dog & continental breakfast! I'm delighted to say that I found a little gem! As an added bonus the food on the Friday evening was delicious & reasonably priced...thankyou!"

"I booked a twin room but it was made up as a double so had to get this changed. Requested a walk in shower but got a shower room with glass walls! Staying with my 90 year old mother so was not happy with this. Hotel looked lovely from outside but inside decor was very bland and boring. Gardens had not been yended to and grass not cut. Having informed the hotel i was staying with my 90 yo mother and requested a downstairs room they put us at the far end of the hotel so we to walk a ling way....

"Staff were polite and welcoming. The lady at the desk in the dining room took time to walk around checking guests were OK. I gave an overall 4- star because my request for late check-out wasn't effected and I had to go back to reception to get it implemented. "

"Stayed here many times, but my god , please consider installing air con for the warmer months and also a fridge in the rooms would be a great idea. Breakfast was good as always, a pint was a little bit pricey compared to nearby pubs, but all in all , it’s a great location and a nice hotel."
