Colourful, friendly hotel overlooking the ocean

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at La Madrague! I had a sea view room, which was amazing as I went to sleep and woke up to the sounds of the ocean. The hotel itself is right on the beach, which is great as you have the choice of their pool and the earth natural pool. My room was comfortable and airy; and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. I’ll be back in Dakar soon and I’ll stay at this hotel again for sure.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé, la suite avec vue sur la plage est super, propreté irréprochable, le resto est bon, le service de qualité. Seul le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu diversifié.

Everything was really nice except 2 things; the wifi works terribly in the rooms and not consistent throughout, it was very frustrating to try to stay connected; I had a big room and it’s quite costly but yet the breakfast is not included, and paying 8 USD (4500 CFA) for a croissant, bread, butter and an average quality coffee is highly overrated.

1er séjour à la Madrague.

Séjour très agréable. La suite luxe est très grande, avec vue directe sur la plage, la mer et l'ile de Ngor. Hotel bien situé, avec un bon restaurant pour des repas à prix corrects. Accueil sécurisé avec un gardien 24/24 et coffre-fort dans la chambre. Seul petit hic, de grosses difficultés de connexion au wifi pendant tout le week end. Mais j'y retournerai certainement.

I liked the location, hotel was very clean and beautiful. Staff was awesome and they went out of their way to assist us. What I didn't like was the room we stayed in was very very noisy because of the street traffic and people up talking loudly basically all day and half of the night.. Noise went on all day until about 3am in the morning. This was a court yard room. Would i stay there again? Yes but only on the ocean side away from all the noise. Oh yes the lunches and dinners were so good. I felt very safe there. Thank you staff.

Terrible from all aspects . dirty rooms , doesn't worth 20$ per night . very bad experience. i tried to check out immediately after check in , but couldn't , as they told me they will debit the card for the full stay . payment must be made in Cash to the Hotel in local currency .
