Havana Cabana at Key West

"I stayed in a standard room without a balcony, and honestly, it was much smaller than I expected. The room was very dark, with poor lighting, and there wasn’t even a comfortable chair to sit on. The mattresses were not very comfortable and could definitely use an upgrade. Overall, the room felt outdated and could use some renovation. The pool area was nice, spacious, and comfortable, which was probably the best part of the property. The jacuzzi, however, could use some maintenance, as the paint is peeling. One thing that surprised me was that there is no actual restaurant on site—just a food truck. There is also no gym. When it rains, there’s no covered walkway between the lobby, rooms, and pool, so you end up getting wet moving around the hotel. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but I don’t think the property offers the amenities or comfort I would expect from a resort."

"I charter a boat in their marina numerous times a year. Have been doing this for years. My Expedia reservation said $156 due at resort. When I checked out they charged me $281.00. They tried to say it was a parking fee but that is only $29 a day. My fishing trips we over $10,000 this year. I won't be staying in this hotel for future trips. Deceit isn't a very good trait for a hotel."

"I would NOT recommended. I only booked one night stay and the experience was nothing short from terrible, I didn’t even stay I checked out at 8:30pm. After speaking to Mauricio at 4:30pm and he instructed to wait for him to get with management . We went to eat hopefully to return to a solution. When we returned he told us there wasn’t any notes in the system & his management Eduardo wouldn’t be in until the morning. We only waited this far & didn’t cancel our reservation instantly because we were instructed to wait. At 8:30pm with no resolution we were forced to check out & drive back to Miami exhausted .The rooms are disgusting, outdated. The bathroom extractors DON’T work. Nothing like the pictures shown. The supervising staff is rude and disrespectful. When contacted Expedia Theodore lied about trying to accommodate with breakfast, which was a lie & refused our refund. Only leaving 1 star because there isn’t a lower rate option."
