As an American visiting Curitiba for the first time I was unsure of where to stay so I chose the Bourbon Dom Ricardo for its convenient location next to the airport. During my tripped I stayed at the Radisson and in Santa Catarina I stayed at the Pousasa Pedra Ilha; the Bourbon is by far a better hotel and surprisingly the cost per night is far below the other places I stayed. I wound up returning to the Bourbon do to its luxury accommodations and outstanding value. I liked certain aspects of the other hotels but those perks (valet, better service from staff) did not outweigh the value and level of comfort the bourbon offered. It is officially my preferred hotel when visiting Curitiba.
