The rooms were perfect. There are no convivences for mobility scooters. I personally would not attempt to use either set of steps into pool. The sidewalks blocked and go nowhere. I guess never rebuilt because of hurricane. In all fairness to the owners, they have done a
wonderful job of rebuilding the motel 5 stars. Just not for mobility scooters
Great location!! Right on the water. Spotted manatees from the dock. Half block walk to shops and galleries. It's an efficiency; so there is a small kitchen (though not fully stocked with dishware, we had 1 coffee cup) there was a comfy sofa and chair. Bed was incredibly comfortable although a bit high for this 5'4" gal. Spring fed pool was like swimming off the dock. Definitely going to return.
The lodge has the Old Florida feel and very family friendly. We were able to launch our kayak easily from the boat dock. Kayaking to the Three Sisters Springs is a must see. Also, take the time to kayak around the islands. There is a lot of wildlife. The area also have bike trails that are close by.
The rooms were nice, but could use some improvements to the number/location of power outlets for charging devices. The pool was also nice, but the area around it could use some updates and cleanup.
The room appeared recently updated. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. Our only complaint was the height of the bed. It was too high for a couple of 70 year olds to easily get into.
Fantastic place to stay. As one patron stated, “it doesn’t get any better than this.” Full size fridge was a HIGE plus. We were able to refreeze our ice blocks and enjoy a home cooked breakfast on the road! The grounds are beautiful. The spring fed pool is super interesting. The staff was amazing.
We had a kayak trailer. Since it was small, they allowed us to park it in a separate spot of an unused room number was available.
The renovation was very well done, loved the beds, decorations, etc. AND a full kitchen. We would have loved to stay longer.
