She was a credit to the hotel, worked hard and clearly cared about the guest experience. "Check in very slow and after travelling 3 hours with elderly disabled parents, our room was not ready, which is understandable. But the only offer to get changed for a wedding was in the changing rooms a flight of stairs down or the toilets! The girl on reception was adamant there wasn’t any other option available and was very unconcerned of the needs for my disabled mother. Breakfast the next morning was also very poor and hardly any hot food left on the buffet. The disable room wet room was...

"The room I stayed in was difficult to get from the main entrance. Umderstand the building is old however . Route was not well sign posted . I was then charged £10 to use the swimming pool . This was not clear at time of booking."

"We loved our stay. The pool, sauna, and steam rooms are superb. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful. Our only confusion was how to notify about having the room refreshed/done up. There is a door knob hanger that says “Please refresh our room” on one side and on the other, a notification if you need assistance because you are disabled. Our understanding of this was that if you do not put out that notice that the room doesn’t get done up, and we were fine with that. Yet our room was cleaned....

"Stayed in the manor house although checked in at the Club reception. No restaurant open, just the Club cafe, which was disappointing. Huge room and huge, comfy bed with large bathroom."

"It was not a five-star experience and maybe a two-star experience at best. But, they had air conditioning during the heat, which did smell moldy. This place needs maintenance. But I do believe one day thirty years ago it was a five-star hotel."
