"We stayed overnight at this hotel by chance as our flight back to the UK was cancelled at the last minute. We did not arrive until just before midnight, even so the night staff was very helpful. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was good that they provided toiletries in the rooms, so we didn't have to fully unpack the case. The breakfast was good too, with plenty of choice and a lovely plate of scrambled eggs. Even better the manager gave us both a lift to the bus station in the local big town so that we could get the bus to Ljubljana."

"The sleepover at Hotel Jozef was a nice short stay with some "surprises". The hotel has no reception in the afternoon, despite being written that you can arrive from 14h! I had luck to call them in advance by phone. We should get a key code by email. However, I did not obtain any! If you would like to stay there, consider contacting them personally after the booking. Breakfast is only from 7 to 9. That is the only time I saw any personnel in the hotel. The room is well equipped, very clean and spacious. However, the beds were hard. The hotel should also have a restaurant; however, it is closed on Fridays."

"We had a great stay at Hotel Jama. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, but the highlight is the location—it is literally a 3-minute walk to the entrance of Postojna Cave, which made sightseeing effortless. On-site parking was straightforward at €10 per day. We also tried the dinner buffet at the hotel restaurant; while €32 per person is a bit on the pricier side, the quality and variety of the food made it completely worth it. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the caves!"

"We booked Hiša Krasna just 15 minutes before arriving, and somehow Dajana and her husband Boris were completely ready for us. From the start, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like arriving at the home of friends who were genuinely happy to have us. We booked the least expensive room, which was still beautiful and incredibly comfortable. I loved the thoughtful, out-of-the-box design, right down to the bathroom tiles. Even the note under the bed reminding guests that it gets cleaned made us laugh out loud. Breakfast was exceptional. Peaches and figs from the garden, local bread, croissants, cheeses, homemade jams and yoghurt. After seeing their connection with Michelin-recommended dining, I can understand the level of care behind the food. What really stayed with us was the hospitality. We were treated like family, given great advice on the surrounding area, and even received a 20% discount for activities at the nearby Lipica horse ranch. Lokev itself is wonderfully quiet. Honestly, I would return just for the sleep. It was probably the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time. Dajana and Boris clearly bring high standards from their previous professional lives, and you can see how much thought goes into every detail. Hospitality may be a profession, but genuine care cannot be faked, and that is what makes Hiša Krasna special. Highly recommend 45 min drive to Mesecev Zaliv area for clearest waters. "Everything was unique about this property. We were surprised once we got there but it was the highlight of our trip. Everything is 5 star from friendly staff. Very nice owner, location, cleanliness, comfortable. I was travelling with my 2 teenagers and they both love it. The owner did a fantastic job renovating this old house. We wish to be able to go back there one day."
