AN ABSOLUTE GEM!! We enjoyed a delightful stay at this charming boutique style country inn! From our warm and inviting check-in with Lisa (who welcomed us with local knowledge and had even set aside a dinner reservation for us!) to our GORGEOUS and beautifully appointed room (complete with stand alone copper tub!) and then to our exploration of the local area (the immediate area provides picturesque walking and the Gleneagles golf course is quite close) to the FABULOUS food…..I highly recommend you visit this wonderful place in Muthill (Crieff area), UK!!

Formodentlig beste overnattingssted i Skottland
Bestilte ved et tilfelle på denne restaurant med rom, hørtes ut som en koselig veikro, men det var så mye mer. Egentlig burde man ikke omtale stedet, for da er risikoen for at det er fult neste gang man skal reise til det området alt for stor. Men denne restauranten fortjener mye skryt, det var en kulinarisk opplevelse begge dagene vi bodde der. Rommet var meget bra. Vi skal definitivt tilbake

Fabulous food
Stayed 2 nights at the hotel everything was as good. Rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable. New bathrooms had been fitted. The great plus was the food. The chef there is French and I can honestly say the food could not be faulted. Staff were friendly and overall I would recommend it wholeheartedly

We stayed here as a recommendation from a client as we are from Sheffield. Rooms were clean and tidy, staff were very friendly and the french toast breakfast was amazing!

Fantastic restaurant with first class service and great rooms. Food was amazing and the chef made fantastic vegan meals in addition to the usual menu. Will visit again!

Superb hotel and food
We had an excellent stay at the Barley Bree. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and the star of the show being the food which was superb both for breakfast, and the dinner we had on both nights of our stay. Would definitely recommend, and we will stay again when next in the area.

Very nice hotel
Nice hotel, very pleasant staff. Only downside was our mattress. Had definitely seen better days, had a bump in the middle which meant you almost rolled out the sides!

Exquisite food in perfect surroundings
This hotel is such a gem and always reliably consistent. Exquisite food served by friendly, well-trained staff. Cosy, warm and homely rooms. Very pleasant surroundings. An all-over very enjoyable and thoroughly relaxing experience.

Brilliant find
We were attending a wedding near by and found a room here by chance. The welcome from staff was exceptional and we plan to return soon to try the resteraunt as the reviews for dining look amazing

Perfect 6-room hotel close to Gleneagles
If you like cosy perfect rooms in a small hotel with the best restaurant - this is the place. Home from home but in the highlands. Just the best after golfing with friends.

Excellent place and food
The Barley Bree is a little gem of a place to stay with staff very attentive.food at the Barley Bree exceeded expectations. A thourghly enjoyable weekend which we will definetly repeat. Excellent location for sreing the sites of lovely Perthshire.
