"This is the best room i have stayed in within this kind of setting. I booked a single budget room. It was brilliant. Very large room with a small double bed in it , much better than a single bed. Lovely bedding. Lovely spacious bathroom with fabulous products.no need to bring your own. Great brands of tea, coffee and biscuits. "Hotel and room were beautiful. Check-in clerk was friendly and welcoming. Location was completely charming, and the breakfast was very good. We were in suite 7, and therein lies the problem. An hour after checking in and prior to leaving for dinner we discovered our TV didn’t work. We mentioned it to the clerk who said she would have a look while we were out to dinner if that was OK with us. We gratefully agreed and left for dinner. "On arriving seeing all the lorries parked up was not sure what to expect. Stairs up to first floor rooms. Room was a surprise! very clean and plenty of room and a sea view! also surprising was how quiet it was. Did not hear traffic at all and it is on a very busy road.We ate in both the cafe and the resteraunt and the food was great! The staff were very friendly which was a bonus.It is a good base to visit Bamburgh and Lyndisfarne,both were well worth a day out."
