"The room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English."

"From making our room booking, adding food bookings and treatments was hassle. Getting through on the phone was just ringing out, so I tried messaging which took a week to get an unsatisfactory answer. We booked rooms and spa package but still had to pay extra to go for a swim on our arrival and then they wanted extra for slippers. "First, you can't check in till 5pm. Second, the shower is small and slippery when wet. When I mentioned that I'd nearly fallen twice and it needed a non-slip mat, I was told can't be done as this would be an admission that there is a problem. Plus, the light in the bathroom is on a motion sensor timer and kept cutting out leaving me in the shower, in the dark. It sounds comical but with the slippery shower base and total darkness, it wasn't funny. I had to open the shower door and wave my arm to...

"Stayed here 1 night for a day 2 wedding function. The room was spotlessly clean with tea and coffee facilities. We used the barn and outside areas for the function, with the kitchen serving pizza which was delicious. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and also for breakfast all of which was good. No issues, all very good."
