"We had a very nice stay and will return. It was surprisingly quiet at night, considering the location on Geary. Parking was easy - we were able to drive out to dinner and park again. The staff was terrific - the young man checked on us an hour into our stay - an unusual touch. The room and bathroom were very clean! We did not have cups for water or ice, but I could have asked. "Nicely appointed and convenient - great location for those who want to be near Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury and near environs. Surprisingly quiet at night even though our room faced Stanyan. An old building, so you have to be okay with some creakiness; htough nicely renovated mostly. The sink has NOWHERE to put toiletries. The shower head collar was loose and not caulked - so beware of future mold in the wall. I can never understand why most hotels - even nicer ones - are so terrible at...

"Such a clean and charming bed and breakfast with so much character. The shared spaces are welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic each and every day! The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. The neighborhood is safe with a lot of food options and corner stores nearby. If you drive here, parking is challenging but not impossible I look forward to staying here again in the future."

"My stay at Hotel Drisco was wonderful! Extremely helpful and courteous staff, impeccable rooms with every amenity, and a lovely breakfast and evening wine/cocktail hour. Located in an upscale, quiet neighborhood, but still walking distance to dining, shopping, site seeing, etc. Hotel Drisco exceeds many of the 5-star sites in San Francisco and parallels 5-star European stays. Impressive!"

"No carafe in the guest rooms. So, bring your own water bottle for refill. Refill stations only on 2 floors. No coffee or tea in rooms. Parking is best at the Japan Center. Pay more and park at the hotel but don't forget to book the parking at the time of reservation to avoid full lot on the day of arrival."

"Walking in the first thing I notice was the rooms were extremely small. No biggie. But then a few major things like plumbing was backed up so shower water filled up the floor and same thing with the bathroom faucets.. the power outlets did not work so I couldn’t charge my phone which ended up being a major issue for my night out. One of the worst properties I have stayed at. To make matters worse there is no one to physically talk to for check in so it just made it all that much more difficult....

"I rated it 5 stars relative to the price I paid. For the price, it absolutely delivers. It's very basic and pretty much just for sleeping and showering (it has shared shower). I spent most of my time outside to be honest and it was for few days only."

"Dirty. The room wasn’t cleaned, merely sprayed with perfume. Dirty laundry in the stairwell, shared bathrooms were not clean. Staff was not helpful. Could not hear him through the glass and got frustrated when I needed help. Checked out within an hour. Do not recommend"

"Excellent experience and service at this lovely historic hotel! The front desk staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. My standard queen room was quiet and comfortable; I loved the pretty bathroom with clawfoot tub! Room had a tiny fridge which is always helpful. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining room with hot options and waffles. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available all day. So glad I chose this hotel and would definitely be back!"
