"We went for our honeymoon as it was where I proposed, the staff were lovely, food was amazing as always. Thankfully it was sunny all but one of the days but when it rained there was cosy areas to sit inside."

"The two night stay was absolutely brilliant, the hotel was lovely the owners could not do enough to make your stay as good as possible. "Spacious, light and airy room which was perfect for sorting our kit and last minute prep before beginning our coastal path hike the next day. The staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. "

"Bright friendly welcome with tea and biscuits. The gardens are extensive and lots to interest. The house feels like a medieval manor although is C19 Tudor revival. The bedroom had everything needed and mercifully no television, was clean and welcoming. Al in all a lovely stay with a lovely host."

"Booked as got stuck on the A303, nice staff, great breakfast and hard to argue with the price. My only minor criticism is being 6’3 the light they’d fitted to the single room was basically at face height so I cracked my head a couple of times getting in and out of bed. Otherwise would recommend for a cheap stay."

"A place to unplug and travel back in time... This place is really fantastic and extremely well kept. You can have all the comforts of modern life in an authentic historic setting. The hosts are simply amazing and they go far and beyond the line of duty to accommodate you. The breakfast was an amazing moment. Nice atmosphere, very good food made to order and prepared with love. "The family rooms more like an apartment were excellent. Everything you needed in the room including dvds for the kids. The host was brilliant and locals in the bar were welcoming. The location and setting lovely. Would recommend to stopping here"
