"Luxurious hotel next door to the Galle Face shopping mall. Wonderful views, beautiful breakfast and a free happy hour drinks and nibbles in the bar. As it was just an overnight stay, I didn't try the amenities but the pool looked lovely. The staff were very professional and went out of their way to be helpful."

"Marino Beach hotel was a welcome surprise. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. The buffet was overflowing with variety, perhaps better than the Shangri-La. My only note is that if you are a light sleeper, the walls are very thin, and there is a lot of noise. Not from outside, such as traffic, but noise of other guests and cleaners slamming doors, etc. If not for this, it would be my favorite hotel in Colombo."
