A lot of more central hotels were described as 'noisy' and this one wasn't, although it is on two main roads and a tram station We walked from the main train station which took 30-40mins (and you could get public transport, it was reliable when we used it) but you walk through the centre with all the bars and the cathedral Hotel was clean and staff were friendly

Excellent service location and comfort

Excellent hotel . Reception staff very friendly and sorted all our small issues quickly and efficiently. Lift stop in front of reception so easy to carry suitcases etc .Room very clean and comfortable. No noise from street .Very close to places of interest River Rhine cathedrals and buses and ferry. Shops and places to eat on same street just outside hotel so very convenient. Did not have breakfast in hotel as a bit expensive.

Great location, made it easy to get around everywhere. We had to move rooms because the air conditioner wouldn’t cool, the next room was better but definitely doesn’t cool enough for sleeping on the lowest setting.

Great location for family Christmas market break

We had a lovely family break for the Christmas markets and stayed at the Mercure Hotel. We had a suite which made life with our little one much easier as she slept in a cot in the living area. The room was well equipped as was the bathroom. Staff were very friendly and were able to assist us with anything we needed. Great location for visiting the Christmas markets, would definitely recommend. We didn't eat any meals at the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurant or other facilities.

1st Class hotel

1st Class hotel with 1st class staff, the hotel was in a good location, close to shops and attractions, Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Supermarket is close by, aswell as plenty of eating places, Rooms were clean and comfortable with tea & coffee making facilities, there was also a fridge and a safe in the room. I would definatly stay at this hotel again when I return to Cologne

Very comfortable and convenient

The Mercure in Severinstraße is very comfortable and convenient. 10 minutes walk to the shopping district. Beside a tram station from where yiu can go anywhere in Cologne. Severinstraße itself is well stocked with restaurants, shops etc so everything is to hand

Nice hotel just outside city centre

A good and big hotel just outside the touristy city centre. We thought that meant that it would be easy to reach by car, but you need reflexes like a cobra to make the last turn. It took a few minutes to reach the important places, but it was well within walking distance.

Room was comfortable, warm and clean. Didn’t have the breakfast as we wanted to try various brunch places. Staff were very helpful except on the day we had to check out. There was a queue of at least 10 guests at the reception desk and when I asked if anyone else could help at the desk there was an unclear answer and no one came out from the office to help. We waited for nearly 30 minutes to check out! Very disappointing as other times staff were great.

Nice hotel only problem is that the rooms smell because people smoked in them, i complained got another room but was the same problem.

The most uncomfortable beds, you get 2 tiny blankets and the oldest pillows. The gym is a joke, the walls are so thin and the gap in the door allows for so much noise to pierce through. I feel like i was catfished. Do not stay here, there are other hotels at better prices. You don't get any toiletries, they don't even have body soap in the shower which also had mold in it. You don't get water so you have to pay at the bar IF they bother to help you. A few times i went to the front desk and no one was to be found. Elevator was broken forcing people to wait for just the 1 or take the stairs. Area is meh, at least you're close to the metro. The laundry was expensive and they didn't even offer it the day we needed it. (Day before Christmas eve)

Missed information from Accor staff about rewarding points. Back-and-forth emails without a clear explanation of why I am not receiving my reward points. Accor has shown its racial discrimination against LGBTQIA . Never knew I will be experiencing racism from such an organisation linked to the upcoming Olympics. Leaking everywhere in the bathroom when you bathed. Funny smile from the bathroom and failing to provide adequate amenities. This hotel is not 3-star but rather 2-star.
