This hotel is gorgeous and charming! you can hear the ocean at night and can walk the beach for sunrise and sunset. There are lovely pools. The food was excellent and dining was gorgeous. We did some hiking in the area and this was the perfect spot to stay. We rented a car and were prepared for the possibility of rough roads, but had no issues driving. We will come back!!

Property is so dated, no renovations, so overpriced for the condition of the property, so isolated, unpacked roads to reach there, at least 45 min drive to go to a decent restaurant on the other side of the peninsula.people were nice. Got some nice pictures on the beach.

The resort grounds are beautifully manicured, the staff were so friendly, food was good. Our accommodations in the Tiki hut was spacious, we had a nice ocean view and it was well kept. We walked the property and saw white face monkeys and a waterfall on the ocean's edge. It was a pleasure staying in this resort. We would definitely return.

I have travelled to costa rica many times and this was one of the most exquisite locations I've ever seen, The thundering sound of the ocean waves along with the incredible pink sunrises can not even truly be described with words. Everything was magical and the inclusive breakfast was also very nice. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and it is a place I will be back to soon! The golf course was also great and a good daytime activity for all skill level golfers.

This hotel is a dream to be in. Waking up to the sound of waves, opening your window to a stunning ocean view, lay down in a hammock for a nap, taking a dip in the cool cristaline water. This is what life is all about. The restaurant was not that good, and there are very few dinning options around the area, which was the only part that we felt could use improvement.

We booked for two nights and left after the first one. The hotel is on a beautiful beach and that is it, its OLD, the whole hotel needs an urgent maintenance and remodeling. staff cant help with anything, you cant eat anything if you are vegetarian/vegan. wouldn’t go back

This hotel has beautiful grounds and that’s about all it has going for it. The staff was not helpful or willing to serve you. We couldn’t book any excursions. The pools were dirty and so was our room. The restaurants and food were awful! Just awful!! A one and done for us.

Tango Mar is the best resort style accommodations we have ever stayed. And, we have spent decades resort living for vacations. The Management has created at atmosphere of family with the entire staff and every guest. You feel welcome the moment you step up to the front desk to check in. The restaurant menu is diversified with meat, fish, poultry and pastas. And, more importantly, the quality and presentation was absolutely exceptional. And the Tropical Salad is on you do not want to miss. Outstanding! In fact, we had a 2 bedroom villa with a full kitchen- and we never used i!!!! The grounds and pools are well maintained and the entire area was never even remotely crowded, even though they were fairly full. Beach walks right out your front door, and a trail to a waterfalls that drops into the ocean is magnificent! If you’re coming to Costa Rico, do not miss Tango Mar.

Fantastic beach front property! Loads of birds around! Specially scarlet macaw! The staff is super friendly! Rooms are spacious & clean! And the restaurant has a great menu! We loved our stay there and enjoyed a lot the relaxing noise of the sea! We also walked to El Chorro waterfall from there! The trail allows to see the waterfall from the top! The views are amazing!
