"Unmanned - you get code to the lockbox to access the lodges via email on the day.
Nice enough place to stay for a couple of nights. Basic facilities but no complaints.
Place was clean with plenty fresh towels.
Curtains let through quite a bit of light which was the only downside.

"My children and I recently spent two wonderful nights at Spean Lodge. Paul is the most gracious host - he made us feel at home. "We were there during the weekend when the town held a special event about mountain bike. Luckily, the hotel was out of the city centre, so the night was peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious. Only one particularly dislike was that from the bathroom window, the afternoon sun was so strong that we could have got sunburn sitting on the toilet. And there was no curtain on bathroom window. Well, it was a very unusually sunny that day.
