The young man working the night shift had no personality. He slowly came from the back when we arrived, around 10pm, didn’t greet us didn’t really say much. Was very slow at checking us in. This was the end of a 6 day journey that started in California & we travelled through 9 states so we were extremely tired. On the way to the elevator my daughter accidentally dropped a soda bottle that broke & spilled everywhere. The guy came very very slowly over & without shoes and hands in his jacket pockets literally just stood there staring blankly. He didn’t do anything or say anything. My daughter & I were picking up the pieces of glass and he did nothing. Later the next morning I saw it had been cleaned up but not very well, there were large spots all over. My sheets on my bed had stains on them and the bathroom faucet leaked so I had to put a towel down to soak up all the water. Then gal on day 2 was very pleasant & friendly, super nice. Day 3 a new round man was also very friendly & nice. The first guy needs to not be working in customer service as he just has no personality & isn’t friendly & doesn’t say anything.

They did not honor the rate offered by Expedia and we had to rebook on the spot, and it cost us about $15 extra. Plus, we had to pay the entire stay AGAIN, so we are due a refund from Expedia. We also suspect that the clerk, while friendly and polite, didn’t seem to know what to do about the Expedia reservation issue. The Room: the first one was dirty and the HVAC was broken. Replacement room had burned out light bulbs and a HVAC fan that made intermittent screeching noises. A very strong, heavy, “men’s cologne” permeated throughout the lobby area, nauseating both of us. I do not know how this property could rate an 8 or higher!

I woke up in the middle of the night and a terrible smell of oil was coming from the heater. It gave me a headache. They did switch my room, but they switched me to a room where the heat did not work. Also soap dispensers were empty sheets were all static as if they didn’t even know about Static cling on how to get rid of it. Shower pressure was horrible. I got cold taking what should’ve been a warm shower I have stayed there in the past and it was very nice, but I will never stay there again.

Staff of hotel and restaurant first-rate!

ˇhe staff was very friendly, the salmon dinner at the lobby restaurant was delicious, and the chef himself stopped by our table for a friendly chat, as did the bartender (who made us an amazing drink). So nice to have such a cheerful reception; we were on our way the next day to Bethesda North Hospital for my husband's surgery--which BTW turned out fine. Thank you for a good stay!

The staff here is very accommodating. The bar is small but good; we were confused by the breakfast menu and pricing. Two different options and prices for the same menu items you would receive complimentary at other hotels at this price point. The furniture, pillows and especially the bathrooms are in need of a serious update. It all seemed as tired as I was after our busy weekend! Our bathroom had some mold issues. The lobby had some filthy chairs. There are some restaurants within walking distance. They serve “dinner” in the lobby, but only one option all weekend. The snack area was well stocked and had good variety. Has some nice seating outside, but no umbrellas like seen in the hotel photos.
