"Pros: We arrived early because we weren’t sure how long it would take us to get there from the airport and they were able to let us check in early. Very clean room, great little pool (water was really cold which would be fantastic on a really hot day), lots of wildlife (lizards/iguanas, squirrels, birds and butterflies), and very kind, patient and accommodating staff. "We stayed at Cerro Lodge on a birding trip. The personnel did not know about any matter related to birds or birding. They had no knowledge about local trails and didn’t have any idea that they should. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow and somewhat limited. The location was wonderful and scarlet macaws were abundant. There was a beautiful view from the restaurant and the pool was lovely. With knowledgeable staff it might have been a wonderful experience."

"Nous y sommes allés pour une escale. Hôtel propre ( il y aurait la possibilité de manger sur place le soir mais nous n’avons pas testé ). L’offre aux alentours à pieds était plutôt fast-food. Nous y étions hors saison et l’hôtel était vide. Petit déjeuner local ou possibilité d’avoir des gaufres. Très bien pour une escale même si peut être un peu cher ."

"When you leave the hotel for dinner, which you would probably want to do since the restaurant is terrible, be sure to return before 9 PM or else you will be locked out of the property behind a large gate. "

"The rooms were clean. A few large ants. We sprayed the room with bug spray which seemed to help. We had a beautiful view! Breakfast was supposed to be included, but there was no restaurant on the property. We were right on the beach and it was like having our own private island. The pool was refreshing after a day at the beach. Staff was friendly."

"The staff were very kind and helpful, especially Ramon. Everyone went out of their way to improve the experience. The room was large, clean, and quiet. The only challenge was a very bright blue glow from the display on the A/C unit. The pool is small (limited by property size) but nice and clean, and there are food and drink choices right there on the property, though a bit pricey. "Everyone was so helpful. They let us write to the place we were staying. It was a little difficult to find the office when you see the physical sign walk up the path and you’ll see it right there. It was noted. We just didn’t know what we were looking for, but a sweet gentleman came out and found us and let us where we needed to be. Breakfast was very good as was the coffee.
