"It is a wonderful historic building, but very run down . Some parts, eg the listed ballroom is closed needing roof repairs. Threadbare carpets, although bedding and towels changed each day there was poor bathroom supplies. I believe it is for sale. So fingers crossed because it’s in a good position with a car park. No resturant, or bar snacks. There is an excellent Spanish tapas restaurant round the corner.m and Peaberry a few yards down the street great for breakfast. "

"Breakfast was good, if a little busy! The cutlery suffered the usual dishwasher smudges, but that's kind of expected these days. We didn't request a disabled room, but we were very impressed with the disabled facilities - the low level door spyglass, for instance. Total blockout curtains were welcome for a Sunday morning lie in. Reception/bar/restaurant staff were very pleasant, polite and attentive. "

"Very kind helpful staff. Lovely quiet, hotel with beautifully decorated interior. Absolutely fantastic breakfast which made allowances for my vegetarian, dairy free needs. The quality of the produce was top notch and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again."

"after checking in they informed us that they were not doing food after 4pm we had not been informed of this they said it was they only had one chef so we checked out i booked this in november and there was no indication that there was a problem on their website they stated they they were serving food until 9pm if they had contacted me to let me know that they had a problem and were not doing foood i would have cancelled "
