The room is clean but the thatch was recently redone on our chalet so some bits were falling down during our whole stay. We made sure we kept our suitcases closed and kept the mosquito net over the bed as a solution because our room had a great view. We saw bushboks, kudus, a wildebeest, trumpeter hornbills, bush babies, many other birds right from our patio.

It’s peaceful, pleasant and quiet even when busy and the service is exceptional. I have 4 kids and there is enough for them to do on the property that they don’t trouble me or other guests so I can actually relax on a family vacay. My favorite place to vacay close to home, and likely anywhere.

Lovely hotel in beautiful African bush

The nicest hotel you can imagine - very friendly and personal staff, a beautiful bush full of non-dangerous wildlife allowing running and walking tours by yourself, clean, good food, quiet and stylish chalets.

We will go back!

We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of kudu, impala, monkeys and birds to watch without effort. Even saw 2 giant iguanas! The lions were impressive and their handler was very approachable and knowledgeable! Very peaceful and relaxed environment, can sit by the pool, wander the nature trails or sit on a private patio.

Not just nicest hotel in Zambia, but in the world!

Fantastic experience - very professionally run place in a "friendly" savanna/bush, where you can take nice walks and see zebra, antelope, and many other animals. The food is excellent. Stayed here for in total 3-4 months the last 6 years and I rate it as my favorite hotel.

Da wir in Livingstone anstrengende Tage an unserer Partnerschule verbrachten (Einkaufen von Schulbüchern, Material zum Renovieren, Wasserrohre für Wasserleitung. Reparatur von Tischen und Bänken gemeinsam mit den Lehrern, Kontaktaufnahme zur GIZ, waren die 4 Tage in der Safari Lodge, die wir von früheren Besuchen kannten, genaug richtig.
